Manchester senior Mark Noble has had a remarkable fall sports season, starring for the Panthers in football and soccer. He is the leading scorer for the state-ranked, undefeated Manchester football team.
Our SportsInk.com Athlete of the Week for Oct. 25-31 is Manchester senior leader Mark Noble.
Noble has been outstanding this fall in football and soccer for the Panthers. He has scored 14 goals for the talented Manchester soccer team and has produced 21 touchdowns for the football team.
“I like both sports, it's tough to choose one, I just love to compete,” Noble said. The lanky 6-foot-2 midfielder for the soccer team also plays both fullback and linebacker for coach Jim France’s undefeated football team.
“He's just a throwback, gives 100 percent for us, and then goes to soccer practice and gives them another 100 percent,” France said.
Noble is not only a superior athlete but also is a solid student as he carries a 3.15 GPA and is looking to major in engineering once he enrolls in college.
“He is the ultimate student-athlete, he has been a pleasure to coach and know,” France said. Noble has rushed for 704 yards and is the leading tackler for the Panther defense.
Kathy and Kevin Noble have raised a true leader for Manchester High School, both on and off the field. “He is a school leader by the way he leads away from sports,” France said.
Noble also has two sisters, Laura and Michelle.
