As a four-year starter at Garfield on both offense and defense, Tyson Gulley has enjoyed many memorable games. But his recent performance against Akron North in the City Series opener he says rates at the top of the list. "That game was the best," Gulley said.

In a 40-12 win over the Vikings, Gulley accounted for five touchdowns. He rushed for two scores, threw for one touchdown, caught a TD pass, and took an interception back for a score.

In 2008, Gulley rushed for 1,376 yards and scored 22 touchdowns, and already has nine touchdowns this year. He has more than 400 yards rushing through the first four games, playing Archbishop Hoban, Green, St. Vincent-St. Mary, and North.

Even though his name grabs the headlines on offense, he is equally effective on the defensive side.  "I love to play both sides of the ball," Gulley said. "The big schools are looking at me for defense, while the MAC schools like me on offense," he said. He has not yet chosen the school where he will take his football talents to next year.
