As usual, the Northeast Ohio Conference will be well represented at this weekend's OHSAA state track meet in Columbus.
A total of 64 league athletes -- from 12 NOC schools -- qualified for the event at their respective Division I regional meets, setting up a potential gold rush at Jesse Owens Stadium on Friday and Saturday.
Heading the list for the second straight week are the boys teams from Medina and Solon, who claimed regional titles at Amherst Steele and Austintown Fitch, respectively.
Brunswick senior Nick Owens, Medina seniors Sam Chester and Malik Tuck, and Strongsville senior Brian Cook earned three state berths apiece in the boys competition, while Brunswick junior Brianna Neitzel and Medina junior Anna Boyert were triple-qualifiers on the girls side.
