Senior Elliott Tedquist and 23 other area athletes will represent NE Ohio at the New Balance Track & Field Nationals June 16-18 at North Carolina A&T Univ. in Greensboro, N.C. Tedquist placed 4th at the OHSAA Div. I state meet in pole vault (15-6).

 

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Twenty-four track & field athletes from the SportsInk.com coverage area are scheduled to compete at the New Balance Nationals, June 16-18, at North Carolina A&T University.

Maybe the most interesting entry from our area is the Woodridge boys 4x800-meter relay team, which set an all-time Ohio high school record of 7:37.43 on June 3 at the OHSAA state meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. That team includes Jimmy Charles, Jake Onifer, Vibushan Sivakumaran and Drake Sulzer.

The New Balance Nationals meet record is 7:32.89 set by Auburn, Washington in 2002.
