COLUMBUS, Ohio – They are the future of Ohio high school softball.

Last Monday and Tuesday (June 20 and 21), 120 of the top underclass players in the state gathered for a round-robin tournament sponsored by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (OHSFSCA).

They are the All-Ohio Underclassmen and the Northeast District squad, coached by Akron Garfield’s Jim Noall, included 11 up-and-comers from the SportsInk.com coverage area.

Each of six teams with 20 stars played five 8-inning games. The Northeast District finished 1-3-1 with nine SportsInk.com schools represented:
