Francis sisters each score twice to lead Field girls soccer

BRIMFIELD TWP., Ohio --  Sophomore twin sisters Sarah and Megan Francis each scored two goals as the Field girls soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a 4-0 victory over Coventry.

Kaitlin Morris had two assists, and Savannah Gearhart had one.

Cheyenne Hardy had one save for Field (7-5-2.)

CUYAHOGA VALLEY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 10, ELLET 0. At Cuyahoga Falls, junior forward Christine Najjar scored twice to lead the Royals in the blowout.

Also scoring for CVCA (9-4-0): Alexandra Blair, Katie Cook, Nina Finelli, Katherine Kouzelos, Amanda Najjar, Kimmie Orihel, Jacqui Peterson and Natalie Silk.

WALSH JESUIT 4, COLUMBUS ST. FRANCIS DE SALES 0. At Cuyahoga Falls, Christen Westphal and Maddy Anzelc each scored twice for the Warriors (13-0-2.)

WESTERN RESERVE 3, ST. VINCENT-ST. MARY 2. At Akron, Western Reserve (10-3-3) got a pair of goals from junior Nicky Waldeck and another from Pauline VanDijck to defeat the Irish.

St. V-M (4-8-2) had goals from seniors Emma Davis and Miranda Yeaton.

WADSWORTH 5, GLENOAK 0. At Wadsworth, the Grizzlies benefitted from a pair of goals from Leah Runkle, while Jessie Gearhart, Brooke Braman and Emily Drown added one apiece.

GREEN 1, KENT ROOSEVELT 1. At Green, senior midfielder Jessica Benentt scored for the Bulldogs, while sophomore Carly Evans scored for the Rough Riders.

Green (2-10-2) got seven saves combined from Ashley Sklack and Haleigh Minor.

Kent Roosevelt (10-2-1) outshot Green, 8-6.
