Mogadore football has four players picked to district team

Mogadore junior running back Gary Strain was one of four Wildcats selected to the Division VI Northeast Ohio Inland District team.

 

The SportsInk.com coverage area features five teams in either Division V or Division VI, those five teams sent eight players to the first team of the Northeast Ohio Inland District team in their respective division.  Waterloo, Rootstown, Mogadore and East Canton all had representatives on the first team, while Windham had a pair of players chosen on the Honorable Mention list.

The Wildcats had four players selected to the top team with junior running back Gary Strain being joined by wide receiver Kasey Beard and offensive lineman Joe Callihan on the offensive side of the ball.  Defensive lineman Scot Hower was the lone Mogadore defensive selection.  East Canton linebacker Duke Taylor also made the top Division VI squad.

In Division V, Waterloo running back Tommy Saviers and linebacker Zack Williams were tabbed on the first team, and Rootstown defensive lineman Josh Lane joined the pair of Vikings.
