Archbishop Hoban senior and Nebraska recruit Greg McMullen is a Division III first-team All-Ohio selection.

For advancing to the Division III, Region 9 championship game, the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish football team was rewarded with three players named to the Associated Press Division III All-Ohio team.

Junior wide receiver Jordan Hargrove led the Fighting Irish with a selection to the first team, accumulating 44 receptions, 741 yards and 11 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Hargrove's quarterback, senior Kevin Besser (2,100 yards of total offense, accounted for 25 touchdowns), was named to the second team along with St. V-M linebacker Tyler Bischof.

Joining Hargrove on the first team was Ravenna senior running back D.J. Jones, who led the Ravens to the school's first state playoff in football and a trip to the Region 9 semifinals.  Jones rushed for 2,433 yards and scored 35 touchdowns.

Defensively, two seniors and Division I college recruits made the Division III first team in Archbishop Hoban defensive end Greg McMullen (Nebraska) and Buchtel defensive back Jarrod Wilson (Michigan).  McMullen was credited with a dozen sacks for the Knights in 2011.

Field senior Pat Boggs registered a second straight 2,000-yard rushing season and, along with Woodridge junior kicker Hunter Niswander (three 50-yard field goals), was accorded second team honors in Division III. 

In Division IV, a pair of senior linemen from playoff teams made the first team in Manchester offensive lineman Tony Matteo (West Virginia recruit) and Black River defensive end John Guilford.  Fellow Pirate Andrew Vaughn was tabbed third-team All-Ohio as a sophomore running back.
