Stow-Munroe Falls senior David Walker was named the Northeast Inland District Division I Player of the Year as voted by the Associated Press.

 

He may only have played eight games this season, but based on average, Stow-Munroe Falls senior point guard David Walker is the leading boys basketball scorer for the SportsInk.com coverage area (45 high schools).

Walker, having signed with Northeastern University in Boston, has been brilliant since missing seven games with a broken wrist. He has scored 103 points in four outings since his return and carries a season average of 24.6 points per game.

His teammate, senior guard Kyle Scelza, has connected on 60 3-point goals in 15 games and is the fifth ranked scorer (19.7 ppg) in our area.  The Bulldogs are 12-3.

The East Dragons (15-1, 11-0) have the dynamic senior scoring tandem of Davonte Brunson (23.6 ppg) and Mycle Shadie (19.1 ppg).

Four different conferences are represented in our Top 10.
