Manchester senior middle hitter Amber Silver is the SportsInk.com Athlete of the Week for Nov. 2. Silver will attend Walsh University and play volleyball for the Cavaliers.

NEW FRANKLIN -- Manchester senior volleyball standout Amber Silver is the SportsInk.com Athlete of the Week for Nov. 2.

Silver, a first-team All-District III selection, led Manchester to a 16-4 mark and a district semifinal berth at Smithville. Her coach, Michaele Bennett, is the 2009 District III, Division III Coach of the Year.

The 5-foot-11 middle hitter recently signed with Walsh University in North Canton to continue her academic and athletic career.

Silver is a former WAKR Student Athlete of the Week.
