ROCKY RIVER -- Medina goalkeeper Taylor Burke is the SportsInk.com Athlete of the Week for Nov. 9-15.

The Lady Bees (20-1-2) are headed to the OHSAA Division I girls soccer championship match against Dublin Coffman (14-5-3)  on Saturday at Columbus Crew Stadium. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m.

A three-sport athlete, the 5-foot-11 junior was sensational during a 1-0 state semifinal win over Walsh Jesuit at Rocky River High School on Wednesday. Burke registered 14 saves with several in the special category.

"She probably made four big-time saves and in a state semifinal that's huge," said Walsh coach Dino McIntyre. 

Burke and her defensive teammates have posted 11 straight shutouts since a 1-1 tie with Walsh on Oct. 7. The Bees have yielded six goals in 23 matches.

The defending state high jump champion, she also played basketball for the Bees.
