Southeast Girls Coach Mary Schill talks with Freshman Miranda Hughes after she missed out on a chance for a perfect record of four event wins at the PTC County Championships by finishing second in the mile event. Miranda recovered and came back to win the 800m and anchor her 4x400m relay to a victory. Miranda also anchored her 4x800m relay team to a comeback victory over the always strong Woodridge team n the opening night of the PTC Championships.

Annie Wise of Waterloo and Sammi Vaughn of Crestwood paced together during the 1600. Their strategy paid off as they took 3rd and 4th to advance to the state meet. Both Wise and Vaughan also qualified for the state meet in the 4x800.

Karlie Leiberth, Crestwood was thrilled to take first in the 800 and also set a new PR . Oh yeah... and advance to state!
